[ he's there early, but she's too far to get there that fast, heading straight from her rounds up on the upper passenger floors. luckily the lock on her door recognizes Remus nanites by now, lets him in without a fuss. there's a tiny bit of panic that hits her when she returns to her rooms and sees the door has already been unlocked, but. no. duh. of course he just got there before her. ]

[He grins from her bed. He's brought his datapad, of course, and so he's been reading all this time.]

I couldn't sense it. But if you were, you'd have noticed. The magic would have manifested itself; it's how we can tell when muggleborn children have magic. It's things like-- oh, I don't know. Oh, here's an example: when I was a child, my mother wanted to bring me to a doctor, but I was so terrified I managed to magically lock myself in my room. It took her ages to work a way in.

[He kisses her throat gently.]

'S raw magic, fueled by strong emotions. Desire, or fear-- once I managed to make a jar of chocolates fly to me. I ended up knocking out two of my baby teeth, actually, since I had the whole jar fly toward me and I didn't realize in time. So we'd know, because you would have noticed-- things would happen to you that you couldn't explain.

[ Raven stays propped up over him while he talks, because yes, she's still absolutely in the phase of things that includes being completely enamored with the things he says and how he says them and how his mouth forms the words and all the little details that come with it, so she's kind of watching him with that adoration written all over her face cause how can she not. Remus can explain things to her all day long, if he likes. she likes his explaining voice. it's a great voice.

Does it still happen to you? Or do you grow out of that kind of thing? Magic reacting to your emotions, I mean. I haven't grown out of letting my emotions influence my shifting, not really. It's different now with what the serum did, but my eyes used to slip when I was feeling distracted in whatever way.

Sometimes. It would have to be very strong emotion-- but if, say, you were in danger, or hurt, things might explode around me. But other things don't trigger it-- sadness or, ah, lust, say.

[ her smile probably shouldn't been looking so devious right now, should it ]

I think that sounds like a fun challenge to beat- can I drive you crazy enough to make something in my room explode..

[He lets out a little laugh, giddy and pleased, and leans up to kiss her.]

God, and probably the people that live in the room above mine.. [ her kiss turns into a bite, the soft pressure of her teeth tugging at his bottom lip ]
