[He twists in her arms, but only so he can face her properly.]
I couldn't sense it. But if you were, you'd have noticed. The magic would have manifested itself; it's how we can tell when muggleborn children have magic. It's things like-- oh, I don't know. Oh, here's an example: when I was a child, my mother wanted to bring me to a doctor, but I was so terrified I managed to magically lock myself in my room. It took her ages to work a way in.
[He kisses her throat gently.]
'S raw magic, fueled by strong emotions. Desire, or fear-- once I managed to make a jar of chocolates fly to me. I ended up knocking out two of my baby teeth, actually, since I had the whole jar fly toward me and I didn't realize in time. So we'd know, because you would have noticed-- things would happen to you that you couldn't explain.
[ Raven stays propped up over him while he talks, because yes, she's still absolutely in the phase of things that includes being completely enamored with the things he says and how he says them and how his mouth forms the words and all the little details that come with it, so she's kind of watching him with that adoration written all over her face cause how can she not. Remus can explain things to her all day long, if he likes. she likes his explaining voice. it's a great voice.
pausing just to kiss her is kinda perfect too ]
Does it still happen to you? Or do you grow out of that kind of thing? Magic reacting to your emotions, I mean. I haven't grown out of letting my emotions influence my shifting, not really. It's different now with what the serum did, but my eyes used to slip when I was feeling distracted in whatever way.
Sometimes. It would have to be very strong emotion-- but if, say, you were in danger, or hurt, things might explode around me. But other things don't trigger it-- sadness or, ah, lust, say.
God, and probably the people that live in the room above mine.. [ her kiss turns into a bite, the soft pressure of her teeth tugging at his bottom lip ]
[ juuuust going to snuggle up with him again, her arm curled against his chest so she can fuss with the zip of his jumpsuit. nothing fresh, really, just fussing. ]
[He grins a little as he feels her fingers, but begins. It's a good tale, about an ugly girl and a scheming duchess, and Remus' voice is quiet and even as he tells it.]

[His fingers knot into her hair, tugging on it lightly as he kisses her hungrily.]
Shall we try?
no subject
Well we can't try now, you'll be thinking about it, you're too in control. It has to be when you're not expecting it.
[ which is all said kind of against his mouth, broken up with kisses, but she means it. ..she does!! ]
You should-
[ ok one more kiss ]
You should read to me. [ grrrrrrin ] Are there any other books on your datapad?
no subject
[He noses against her, scrubbing against her hair, before grinning and poking at his datapad.]
Right. Right, here's one, it's about a duchess.
no subject
Okay. Ready. Tell me about this duchess.
