[He nods. That's probably the best idea. There's some small part of him that wants to keep pushing until Sirius talks further sense; to make him stop blaming this version of Peter and at least be civil-- but he'll take what he can get.]
All right. And-- I'll stay with you. Going between both of you. If you'll have me.
[He says it gruffly--and he's still not completely over this; all is not completely forgiven, even here--but it's better than it was, it's something, at least. He shoves his hands into his pockets and stares at the floor.]
[Just because the timing of it has sort of ensured that Remus isn't around at the same time doesn't mean anything. He shrugs, kicking his heel against the floor for a second before he looks determinedly up at Remus.]
[He knows what Remus likes, but stores are limited, and his own stash even more so. He goes over to his stuff--the little piles of it on his bed and beside his bed and at the end of his bed--and starts hunting around for it.]
Around. I go over to Sera's for a bit sometimes, or the couches. Brunhilda has missed me, y'know.
I should think I'd look a good deal tougher drinking straight from the bottle.
[He smiles as he takes it, pleased that he can smile at Sirius. A moment of hesitation-- and then, with a grimace, he takes a mouthful of whiskey and swallows it.]
Merlin knows you need all the help you can get with that.
[He watches, his eyebrows raised a bit--ready to be impressed or sarcastic with Remus in a moment here, once he's seen his reaction. Expectantly, he reaches out a hand for the bottle, waiting for it to be passed back.]
[He'd dearly like a chaser, fruit juice or water, but doesn't say as much. In a few minutes he'll conjure something. For now he simply swallows, fights off a shudder, and passes the bottle over with only a bit of a pinched mouth.]
Yes, well. My girlfriend is impressed with me, and that's all that matters.
[Pointedly, he takes it back and knocks back a swig. It's warm, that's about the most disgusting thing about it. At least a bit of cold water might chill it, but he swallows anyways without even turning down his mouth.]
[He offers the bottle back, and this time, his pulled face is all for Remus. Gross, man. It's an easy pattern to fall back into, even so soon after their argument.]

So that's it, then?

D'you want a drink?
no subject
[Not that it matters; at a time like this, he'll drink anything Sirius hands him if it means forgetting a little.]
Where've you been kipping?

[It's a weak attempt at a joke, but it's there.]

Is she still around? I'd thought you'd forgotten about her. How big is she?
no subject
[But he says it with utter fondness, softening a little at this topic.]
So of course I've been sitting with her, scratching her ears.

[He echoes it with a smile.]
She and Moony ought to get together. They'd make lovely playmates.

[He says it with a grin.]
And whiskey, I assume-- speaking of which, where's mine?

[He comes up with the bottle, finally, and holds it triumphantly toward Remus.]
Here. No glasses, sorry, unless you want to waste the time with conjuring them.

Never thought you'd be one of those, Lupin.

[He grins at him.]
They're not the ones sleeping with me, after all.

[He sneers back at him as he takes the bottle.]
Have I told you lately how fantastic Raven is, by the way? Because she absolutely is.

[He groans, quietly--entirely put-on--and covers his eyes, one-handed, as if preparing himself to be scandalised.]
