[ so, Lily's completely freaked out. after what happened with James and Harry, she hasn't tried talking to Peter since. which is horrid of her, she knows it is. not that they were terribly talkative before, but now it must seem even worse. like she's avoiding him. which she isn't! she's just.. a little lost. and for someone that's used to being in control and well informed and prepared, lost is a really awful feeling.
but she has to do something, so..
she'll start with calling Remus
and she'll start talking before he even says anything, once she hears the call get picked up ]
Hi. [ shortest beat to ever beat ] We need to fix this. I mean, there has to be something we can do, right?
[Lily is a relief, because Lily is always logical, and sensible, and far more prone to talking things out than anyone else right now (anyone else being Sirius, that is).]
I talked to Peter. But . . . I don't know, Lily. I don't know what the hell to do anymore. He's a wreck, and Sirius is ready to damn well kill him, and James-- god, I don't know about James, I haven't seen him since he ran off. Have you?
You don't mean literally kill him, do you? He couldn't really- Not Sirius. Would he? [ holy helga hufflepuff Lily actually sounds scared for a second, but. no. after a second of thought she realizes she doesn't believe Sirius would actually kill Peter. she's still too stuck in her 6th year world, where they're all inseparable ] I'm not sure if I saw him after you did, but I did see him after he found out that Harry told Peter about the future. It must have been right after, he was completely furious. I've never seen him like that before. [ she chews her lip ] I don't like seeing any of you like this.
Nor I. I don't think he'd-- he'd actually do it, but he was going on and on about it, saying we had no choice, that we had to if we wanted to save James.
[He exhales sharply. After a moment, only semi-joking:]
[ huff!! ] He isn't. He just doesn't know us. At all, really. He knows what people have told him, I'd imagine, and what he knows of the future, but that's it. I don't- I don't think he really understands that we're still just kids, you know? And not the people he comes to know, not yet. It's difficult to say.
--And doesn't Sirius realize that while we're here, none of that can happen? It's not as if Peter's capable of murdering us both on his own here. Or at all. But whatever changes he goes through from who he is now to ..who he becomes after Hogwarts, none of that can happen here, as far as I see it. Is that daft?
[Yeah no he totally is, sorry Lily. But Remus doesn't pursue that line of conversation, not now. Instead:]
I honestly don't know if he can think of anything except James. He's like-- hah, like a dog, he can't let go of the idea. What about you, what-- have you seen James yet? Harry?
Yes. But it was only for a short while, after Harry told Peter about the future. [ there's another sigh, radio silence for a moment ] I had no idea you were all fighting about this. I guess I just thought- Like maybe this was a time out from the future. If we can change it, all the better, but it can't come as long as we're here. So.. what's the point of fighting, you know?

I've calmed Peter down somewhat, though.
